SourceGas customers should be aware of a variety of nationwide billing scams targeting utility customers. The scams range from an individual trying to obtain personal information from a customer to attempts to illegally obtain payments from customers. SourceGas is reminding customers to be prudent about the type of information they give out so they don’t fall victim to identity theft.December 11, 2012
Cold weather is here! Stay safe, and remember: if your power goes out or you’re tempted to bring a gas-fired generator or space heater inside, please think twice. If they’re not vented properly, you could be exposed to Carbon Monoxide (CO). Make sure you have CO detectors on every floor of your home.

SourceGas Arkansas announced the filing of its Winter Cost of Gas (COG) Adjustment with the Arkansas Public Service Commission. The new COG Adjustment will be in effect between Nov. 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013. This winter’s COG Adjustment is higher than this summer’s COG Adjustment. However, this winter’s COG Adjustment is 6.9% lower than last winter’s COG Adjustment.

This launch is part of the utility’s innovative new energy efficiency program designed to provide customers with personalized information regarding their gas usage. Arkansas Western Gas Company is now SourceGas Arkansas Inc. - June 3, 2011Effective July 1, 2011 Arkansas Western Gas company will change its name to SourceGas Arkansas Inc. SourceGas LLC acquired Arkansas Western Gas Company from Southwestern Energy three years ago.

Arkansas River Valley Tornado Response - May 25, 2011At approximately 12:00 a.m. on May 25, 2011 a thunderstorm cell with apparent tornado touchdowns struck the Arkansas River Valley. The path of the damage hit the communities SourceGas serves of Etna, Alix, Denning, Altus and Clarksville. SourceGas had 56 employees working the incident between Fayetteville and the Arkansas River Valley. Crews were sent to check meters and survey the pipelines for leaks to assess the extent of damage.

Hearts Warming Homes Program Announced for 2009 - 2010 Heating SeasonSourceGas announced today the renewal of its annual Hearts Warming Homes Program in conjunction with The Salvation Army, which administers the program. Hearts Warming Homes provides energy assistance based on needs arising from situations that are beyond people's control, and can be used for any fuel that is used for the primary source of heat (e.g. electricity, natural gas, propane, or wood). Last year, 312 families representing 852 individuals were served through Hearts Warming Homes.

SourceGas Announces Customer Service EnhancementsSourceGas, announced the implementation of a new billing system and in-house customer care center for all of its natural gas customers. The new call center, located in Fayetteville, will offer expanded business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday. SourceGas will continue to provide emergency call coverage, including leak calls and priority calls, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The new billing system will be an upgrade over the existing billing platform, and new payment methods will include pay by phone, internet, additional third-party payment locations, electronic/paperless bill, and no-fee credit card payments.

Sale of AWG to SourceGas CompletedSourceGas LLC announced today the completion of its first strategic acquisition, Arkansas Western Gas. The Arkansas Public Service Commission issued an Order yesterday approving the purchase of SourceGas Arkansas, from Southwestern Energy Company (NYSE: SWN). SourceGas and SWN closed the sale effective today July 1, 2008.
